Scholarship Fact Sheet

The C4KC Scholarship was established to provide college scholarship funds to financially disadvantaged students, who have overcome adversity and are graduating from one of the district’s high schools.

Scholarship Criteria:

  • A high school senior, progressing toward graduation and planning to enter college no later than the fall semester following graduation

  • A strong commitment to pursue a bachelor’s degree at an accredited institution (Students may start their studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to a four-year institution.)

  • Demonstration of ability and effort to overcome adversity

  • Evidence of involvement in co-curricular and community activities

  • Academic achievement (minimum grade point average of 2.0)

  • Critical financial need

Scholarship Selection Process:

  • The C4KC Board of Directors and Executive Director will solicit applications and screen the applications to select three finalists.

Scholarship Timeline:

  • December - Applications will be available in district high schools and on-line at

  • February - Applications must be postmarked or delivered and received at the C4KC Ramona site Office.

  • March – Cops 4 Kids & Communities recipients are announced.

  • May - Distribution of Scholarship Funds at Annual Scholarship Dinner

Cops 4 Kids & Communities will disperse the C4KCr Scholarship funds each May. Checks will be made payable to the designated institution of higher education with instructions to credit the scholarship recipient’s account. Each scholarship will be awarded for a minimum amount of $1,000 and up to $2,500.

Scholarship recipients will furnish the district with the following:

  • College/university student identification number and a copy of the letter of acceptance.

  • Senior photo and high school biography to be used in the Cops 4 Kids & Communities Scholarship Brochure.
