Our Mission

The mission of Alta Vista Innovation High School is to engage students in learning, who are no longer enrolled in a traditional classroom program or who prefer a personalized learning education. Alta Vista Innovation High School"s goal is to successfully preparestudents for work or college readiness through our integrated personalized program of job readiness coursework and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act partnerships.

Students who attend Alta Vista Innovation High School, are all taught individually in a one-on-one setting, on a personalized track to graduation. We focus on providing a safe educational environment, so that students can focus on their studies to earn a high school diploma.
We know that each student has different learning styles, different backgrounds so their learning plans are created accordingly. Each student is educated in the way that works best for them, not what is easiest for the teacher.
Teachers in our programs are trained to get to the core of each and every student. Teachers work towards; learning their back story, understanding how each student learns. They do more than educate. They are counselors, mentors and role models.
Additionally, through our partnership with Cops 4 Kids & Communities workforce training center, we are able to provide valuable job skills to students that help build in-demand career skills for some of America!s most vital industries, often in healthcare, public safetyand other hands-on fields.
